Being based in Aberdeen, this customer was concerned we wouldn’t install within his area, here at Bridge Garden Rooms we supply buildings across the UK and as far as Majorca, so Aberdeen wasn’t an issue. The buildng is manufactured using SIP panels to give the best insulation possible, for the potential cold weather. With UPVC doors and windows manufactured in anthricite grey giving the model a modern look. The building completed with plasterboard skim to the internal and laminate flooring. The electric package consists of down lights, heater, and power sockets. The garden room is completed externally with a decked platform and spindle surrounding.

From our intial contact onwards, everything has run to schedule and indeed despite the rain, sleet and snow (!) the construction was finished well on time.
The site visit by Paul prior to preparing the plans was most useful and allowed us to really appreciate how we could make the design fit our garden and provide us with a maximum of useable space for a minimum of disruption and also how we could locate the windows and doors to suit the outlook.
When the installation team arrived on site they took great care to advise us where and how to place the garden room before they started laying the foundations, which with hindsight was very much appreciated. Then once the tea and coffee requirements were agreed, construction seemed to progress without any regard to the somewhat typical Scottish Spring weather! Even the gales and snow showers didn’t seem to dampen the team’s spirits although we did offer to put their wet clothes through the spin dryer.
During construction there was an absolute minimum of disruption and when completed the site was left clean, tidy and not needing any further work.
The internal decorating was very easy to complete and without the need for any real preparation or making good.
The thermowood, used for the decking, has now received two coats of decking oil and looks very attractive. The western red cedar will receive it’s two coats of oiling next week.
