In this project, Kathryn wanted a building that was the largest allowed within Permitted Development, which would compliment her garden, and which could be utilised all year round with adequate heating.
We worked with her to develop the concept into a great bespoke design, to match all the practical requirements as well as the aesthetic specifications. The resulting 30sq metre building is ample for Kathryn’s requirements, and she kindly sent us the following feedback describing her overall impression of our company and installation team.
Our Garden room was built to our specification by Bridge Timber. We wanted a building that was the largest allowed within Permitted Development.We had considered an off the peg solution which would have been built off site and assembled in our garden.
What a good decision that we chose Bridge Timber with their flexibility to adapt. With the help of the Team we were able to tweak our design during the build to ensure we met all the criteria for Permitted Development. We were also able to adjust the roof pitch so that it looked right in its surroundings.
The finished building is brilliant. The finish is first class befitting the quality materials that have been used. Nothing was too much trouble for those involved in the construction of our Garden Room and our ideas were listened to during the build.
It is so thermally efficient that our 30sq metre building only need a small electric heater to keep it warm, even on a cold winter day. It’s very cool in summer as well.Dame Kathryn August DBE
